Using the 5x4 camera for the first time was exiting but slightly scary as I found it hard enough working with the 35mm film so I was a little apprehensive. As we were getting show how to put the camera together I thought it was going to be really complicated and I would have a hard time remembering everything. But I soon found out that it is just an empty box that you attach a lens to, that does all the work. As long as everything is locked into place I think I will find using that camera okay.
Loading the film is much easier than the 35mm as you don't need to worry about it getting wound through the camera but on the other hand you can only take two pictures at a time with the 5x4.
As I was walking around Hartlepool looking for a destination to take my photos I saw loads of places that I wanted to photography but then I though of taking photos around about where my student house is on Grange Road I can then have something personal to keep. So when I am older I can then look back at where I spent my Uni days.
This is just to show that it's not the easiest of cameras to use and when it's windy its even harder as Katie is demonstrating.
