Even though we are practising food photography at the moment I thought it would still be helpful if I was to practise with the studio set up. I really wasn't very confident working with the studio lights at all so I agreed to take photos of a coupe of the costume girls hats that they had been making. The first attempt was a fail as I could't get the lights to sink with the camera. So I booked some studio time the next day to start again. This time was much better as I had told the technicians was I was struggling with last time.
My lighting set up was very simple, there was one Elinchrom with a soft box directly in front of the polystyrene head and then a Bowens also with a soft box facing onto the back wall as the client wanted a white background.
