By looking at fashion magazines I have managed to create a soft grunge heroine chic look on this shoot. I didn't have a clear vision on what I wanted the photos to look like, all I knew was that I wanted to keep the dirt on the heels. This was because it's what shoos end up looking like on after a night out and wether they would still look a peeling if they were displayed with all the dirt and scuffs
I started by arranging the shoos then dressing them with a couple bunches of flowers once I was happy with the arrangement I needed to get the lighting right. As it started off a bit dark I took a light meter reading and changed the settings to:
ISO - 100
Shutter speed - 125
Aperture - F8
I had to do quite a lot of experimenting with positioning of things such as what flowers looked best and if I should add anything to the set. I decided to go with an off white background I did this by turning down the two back lights that were on the backdrop.
